How to get there
The easiest way to reach Skopelos is via Skiathos Airport (JSI), which is served by direct flights from several European cities, as well as via Athens.
Once you arrive in Skiathos, Skopelos is just a short and scenic sea crossing away.
From Skiathos to Skopelos
From Skiathos port you can reach Skopelos by:
— Water taxi (private speedboat, approx. 20–30 minutes)
— Hydrofoil or ferry (approx. 30 minutes to Loutraki (Glossa), or around 1 hour to Skopelos Town)
Loutraki (Glossa) is the closest harbour to the house and the most convenient arrival point.
From Loutraki harbour it is:
— approx. 10 minutes by car to the house
— approx. 7 minutes to Glossa village, with tavernas, bakeries, cafés and small shops
Because ferry and hydrofoil connections are more limited outside high summer, we recommend:
— booking morning flights to Skiathos, or
— adding one night in Skiathos town before or after your stay in Skopelos for smoother connections.
Arriving via Athens
There are several easy routes from Athens:
— Athens → Skiathos
A short 40-minute domestic flight, followed by the ferry or water taxi to Skopelos.
— Athens → Skopelos by helicopter
A direct helicopter transfer takes approximately 35–40 minutes.
— Athens → Skiathos by car
A scenic drive of around 7 hours, including the ferry crossing.
